My guess is that the domain was registered to the website designer. I am
assuming that you didn't design the original site?
It is common practice for designers to register sites in their own name....

The domain was a .com
The domain was owned by the guy who's site it is (however he's not very
technical and someone else bought the domain in his name), and was bought
through Easyspace....

Fair enough on the colour front - had the same problem myself more than
once!
I'm on A WinXP machine so the font issue isn't Mac specific! Tahoma or
Verdana would be best in my opinion.

Don't like the use of courier, try using tahoma or verdana instead.
