I'd strongly suggest you look at the following 2 sites which will=20
answer all your questions and solve your problems!

http://www.mailchimp.com/ &
http://search.constantcontact.com/index.jsp:

Those will enable you to host the pictures on their servers so they are=20=

not emebded and get throught the firewalls and spam filters etc - also=20=

you'll be able to view hits/views and send follow ups. Will work=20
equally well for 50 to 5,000 although I should say I havent used them=20
personally yet

good luck

BCC is not a good idea as the recipients e-mail address doesn't appear=20=

Looks like spam !

Unfortunatly I can't recomend a way of doing this, I have been looking=20=

at
email management software for myself.
I did look at something called 'MailList Controller', which was free=20
for the
basic version, but you had to buy it if you wanted a version with=20
multiple
mailing lists.
I haven't used it yet - still trying to work out how to use it !

Send the e-mail to yourself and BCC: the message to all the database
addresses (which you should do anyway, so you don't send everyone's=20
e-mail
address to everyone else. Valid ones will go, the rest will bounce with
error messages. Then at least you only have to deal with the invalid=20
ones.

A more complex solution would be to check each address for validity,=20
first
looking at the format of the string, and then, ideally, also attempting=20=

to
send to each address. There are free PHP scripts available to do this.

I could put together a simple web-based solution to validate a list of
addresses for ~=C2=A3100 if that would be of interest. Paste the list =
into a
web form, press the go button, and get a lists of valid and invalid ones
back.

Cheers!

Anthony
