I have a couple of Latitude D Series. The recovery CD is actually a full
operating system CD, so you could use a retail or action pack CD. You can
get any missing drivers from Dell's site by putting the support tag number
of the machine into the appropriate box on Dell's support pages. If you
contact support and give them that number, they'll send you new media for a
fee.
