Hi,
How are You ?
I studied your details on this PC problem and i first thought would be
hard drive possiblely boot sector zero .
try replacing hard drive with fresh hard drive with clean install of xp
leave the pc running for 48 hrs non stop ( sorry connect UPS and load
software , POWERCHUTE for APC )
check you have enough ram and correct type.
I think if it was motherboard you would have errors during install.
Hope this helps
