Re: FN-FORUM: inland revenue and NI contributions help please!
date posted 1st March 2006 23:28
Thank you for the info, not sure i understand the tone behind the the =20=
first answer as i m not complaining about getting jobs and i am =20
wanting to do jobs but i do not actively look for them so there is no =20=
harm in me wanting to do the ones that do come up just because other =20
people are self employed full time. What i am questioning is, does it =20=
make me self employed by doing a few jobs that come up?
I think your statement of "Really in business" suggests that i do an =20
inferior job and should give the jobs i get to other people. I get =20
asked to do stuff purely on my talent within my day job as sole =20
Creative designer for a large software consultancy services firm =20
where i do the work of at least three people who would normally work =20
as a team, so forgive me if i do not feel like making my spare time =20
in to what you refer to as a "Real business".
If i have got the tone of your first answer wrong then i apologise =20
for my tone in this email.
Thanks,
Neil
