I've had a similar thing and stripped the keyboard down putting
everything plastic in a bowl of warm washing up liquid wiped the board
down with warm water.

It was great, like having a new keyboard again, although putting all
the keys back into the correct places was fun.

Several years later the keyboard is looking pretty grubby again so am
tempted to do it again.
