Why don't you find out the price of a good software and build it into the
final price of the project. If they have all those resources then they can
afford a decent price to pay you. Ask for 25-50%...

It's probably nothing more than a referrer check when the image is
requested - if it isn't a Paypal page, they won't serve it. Stops
people using Paypal's bandwidth for their own purposes....
