Hi Catherine,
That's exactly what I mean - that was the feeling I was getting too. Whereas
- we all know - Freelancing is what you earn when you've worked enough years
to realise you can never be happy working 'for' someone else.
I lasted 6 months at Art College before sacking it to join the Army - it was
just so bloody slow, - I couldn't bear it!! I often think now, wouldn't it
be lovely to go back and enjoy studying for a degree in Art/Design if I
could afford the time off ... but I'm pretty sure it would still drive me
mad.

Don't think so. I am 34 and I know there are a few who have been here a
while who are a similar age if not older than I am. I'd say a lot of the
newer posters are younger, but from recent posts I have assumed that many
here view freelancing as something you do while looking for a permanent job.
