Hi,
Try adding and tags so the page is more easily
recognisable as html.
Perhaps also a content type header such as:
header( 'Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8' );

I got the source all over, as you said Mark.
Since its giving different results based upon the request, I suspect
it could be something to do with request headers.
Could you see your webserver logs...

As far as I have been made aware there shouldn't be an echo at all. It is
down to headset and volume configs, if the person you are speaking to is
using a microphone and doesn't have volume controls...

I get an echo on some calls, but mainly use it to receive calls and not
had too many problems (other than with mobiles).
