I usually send out via API about 1200 texts at a time and found
clickatell.com to be one of the cheapest companies on the market and pretty
reliable. The only downside is they still charge you in South African
currency (ZAR) even though their HQ have moved to USA.

Having sporadically looked at the various SMS providers during the course
of the last 18 months I came to the conclusion that Essendex was a) the
cheapest b) reliable c) easy to integrate and send data.

Can anyone recommend anyone else seriously worth considering compared with
Essendex
