Its an amusingly insular name. When I first saw it I read it
as 'ee-zed-pee-dee-eff', being, as I am, British. But, of course, its
supposed to be pronounced 'ee-*zee*-pee-dee-eff' thus sounding like "easy".
You need to think like you're watching Sesame Street.
