RE: FN-FORUM: favourite web technology

This is sure to cause a lot of debate.
In answer to your question "Is PHP+MySQL ... being sidelined?", AJAX needs
such server-side technology in order to function to its full potential, so I
wouldn't say so, no.
And I'm sure someone, if I don't, will point out that AJAX isn't a
technology, but a new term to express the collective use of a number of
them.
In regards to JSP, I don't have personal experience, but it was recently put
to me that it is "completely and utterly wrong" as a language for Web-based
applications. And I shan't repeat what was said about people who use
ColdFusion...

What's everyones favourite web technology?
Is PHP+MySQL all powerful?
Or now that AJAX is all the rage is it being sidelined?
How about ASP, Java servlets, ColdFusion, ASP.net?
Anything new on the horizon?
Would love to hear your views
