RE: FN-FORUM: Acquisition of shiny new gear

Singapore is very good. Up on Orchard Road there are a lot of shops but
look around first before buying.
There are some rubbish places but haggle really hard. A couple of years
ago I managed to drive one shop owner mad until he gave me virtually
what I paid new for my ye old Sony Handycam then I knocked him down even
more on a new camcorder.
Look around before you decide because once you are in a shop and talking
they don't like to let you leave without a sale so get an idea of local
market price first then tell them you will think about it.
Keep knocking them down until their grandmother is going to starve and
the dog will have to gnaw on his own bone (oer Mrs), even then they're
still making a good profit.
Good luck ya lucky git! Only jealous, wish I was there ;-(
Best regards

I suspect Singapore would be best.
