Just a nice small apt-get install, if you change one package to PHP5
it will obsolete/remove all PHP4 packages and tell you it requires
the packages upgraded to PHP5 (it will auto-select them for you). I
would do a quick dpkg query afterwards just to check nothing of PHP4
is left and before it installs PHP5 check that nothing important is
on the remove list (that isn't being upgraded). It will always ask
you before it will do anything that will potentially do any damage.
I think I used the dotdeb repositories to do this, would have to SSH
into customer's server to check.
If you get stuck / worried let me know and I can give you a hand,
worst case scenario is you can always apt back to PHP4 unless you use
customised packages.
I am assuming you are using Sarge to do this, would not suggest it on
Woody although probably possible.
