Hi Debi,
One of my clients - a small web design agency in Leamington - employs
a number of part-time people, one of whom is a graphic designer. So
such jobs do exist. Do any of your freelance clients offer a possible
route into a part-time job? Or what about applying for full-time jobs
and asking up-front to do them part-time? One of my current clients
originally offered me a full-time job but agreed instead to let me
work as a consultant, so they often can be flexible. Another thing to
try is public sector jobs - they almost always allow for part-time
work or job-sharing. And that's the final thing that may be worth
thinking about. Do you know anyone who is doing such a job full-time
who might want to job-share? Or do you know someone else who might
want to work part-time and then jointly apply for a full-time job
together?
Regards,
Ian.
