Agree with everything you said, well put.
I'd like to add that it *becomes* deliberately rude when even thought
several people have pointed out how selfish top posting and not trimming
unwanted content is, yet people continue to deliberately top post *for
effect* and loudly defend it as their right, and that people that ask
for it not to be done are petty minded.
I imagine top-posters also use mobile phones in restaurants, let their
kids eat unpaid for food in supermarkets, park in disabled bays and have
bonfires on sunny days.
