Those that show that they've taken some time when replying will get more
respect from their readers than those that don't.

Replying nicely is pretty much the same as making sure that you spell
correctly, use punctuation properly, don't type in ALL CAPS, provide
text/plain if you also have text/html, etc. None of these are major
problems for the understanding of the message, but the poster does tend to
look much more professional if these things are taken into account.
