Hi Peter and Ash,

I have had a look at Hostgator - it does seem to be very good. However, I do
have one question - being a newbie (! - I was thinking of a previous posting
from someone about this :-) ) - in terms of hosting websites for clients,
are you also providing the means to connect to the Internet as well, if they
need it? Or is it simply a matter that you recommend another service to
fulfill this requirement, or work on the basis that they already have a
connection, but no online presence? The only reason I was thinking of this
was that I wanted to be sure of the extent of the services offered under a
reseller plan - so far, I have noticed that most do not indicate anything
regarding connectivity, and that their services are limited to just hosting.

Is this a common practice? I guess this is just me thinking outside of the
box; it occurred to me late last night that Hostgator being a US reseller, I
was wondering what normal practices were for connectivity, or whether
freelancers / web designers would not necessarily provide connectivity, but
just the hosting for clients...

Any comments are more than welcome - thank you so far for your help,

Another +1 for hostgator. I've been with them for over 2 years and had
nothing but good things to say. Because of their unlimited domains on
normal hosting, I've got lot's of clients hosted there, and these sites have
only gone down twice in the last 2 years. But they've been extremely quick
at getting it all working again.

The reseller accounts are an even better service, so should be more
reliable.

I've had no issues with speed, and there's oodles of space and bandwidth.

My only negative is that I can't use PHP5, but I've got another account with
Dreamhost to satisfy that.

Thanks for this - wow! If these guys are anything near as good as you say,
then I could be very interested. I have had a look, and need to consider
this further, as it is part of my grander plans (so to speak).

$30 a month, a bargain if you ask me, i have a single hosting acount with
them and i run about 10 sites from it with no issues, service is top notch!
