There will be two separate A records, one for smartcells.com and one
for www.smartcells.com. And perhaps others for other subdomains.
From the command line you can get all this information using the
"dig" command. Or, alternatively, http://www.dnsstuff.com/ is a good
place to look up information about DNS records (and
http://www.dnsreport.com/ is a good tool for checking potential
problems with the DNS configuration of a domain.
I recommend moving the domain to a registrar like Gandi
(http://gandi.net/) who give you complete control over the DNS record.
