RE: FN-FORUM: Anybody have experience of Adobe Contribute?
date posted 3rd January 2007 15:40
contribute, IMO, should only be given to clients in order for them to update text/images on their site. Its a simple, inexpensive alternative to building a proper CMS backend but it has alot of limitations - not least in how it handles server side scripted pages and (last time I used it) CSS.
If he adds checkboxes I assume he's doing something with a form, in which case you're going to have to get involved to make sure the values from the checkboxes go where they're supposed to. I'd explain the limitations of Contribute to him (get the demo and play with it yourself, you'll find the limitations quickly) so he knows what he can/cant do.
