I dont know how much you hate them to be able to compare ;) but I have no love for them. It just makes me think that whoever you're trying to email thinks they're 'special' enough for people to make extra effort to get in touch - theres an air of self importance about it which I dont like.
If you dont want spam, be careful what you do with your email address online, simple as that.
personally over the last few years I've become hardened (s'cuse the pun) to most forms of spam email and their content, its annoying but I'm not offended by it, I just delete it.
