Subject: Re: FN-FORUM: Accounting software

Summing up - m method of accounting was perfectly adequate, as my number =
of
invoices was small - my problem was that, each time I write an invoice, =
I
also include details of outstanding invoices (as I work cumulatively for =
the
same people), often these amounts are small (a couple of hours) and =
numerous
(spanning a couple of weeks - months)

What I really wanted as an additional level to my invoicing technique =
was a
method of marking an invoice as paid/outstanding, so that at invoice =
writing
time - I can quickly obtain details of outstanding invoices without =
looking
at all the old ones

All of the 'accounting software' I have come across, seems to be far too
verbose for my needs and I don=B9t need anything more complex than I =
have for
the methods of self-assessment, and I don=B9t really think there is any =
such
'proper tool' as what Is the point wasting time learning how to use a
program like sage for example which would essentially be redundant for =
such
a small business such as mine?

I am going to check out the mac application, billings, otherwise I will
knock something up in filemaker pro

Thanks to all who replied
