RE: FN-FORUM: activeCollab Setup

Hi James,
I am sorry to potentially disappoint you, but I don't think you will get it
working on the server:
The current version of activeCollab, according to its system requirements
page at
http://www.activecollab.com/pages/6/activecollab/system-requirements/,
requires PHP 5.1 and MySQL from version 4.1 upwards. If this is the same
version that Tony suggested installing, then you should not have a problem
with the versions of MySQL and PHP installed on your server; indeed HG
supports version 5, although I think you have to activate this using a
.htaccess file at the root of the primary domain set with HG. However, a
little digging seems to show that your website is running Apache 1.37 - the
current version of activeCollab requires a minimum of Apache 2.0. Check out
http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph?site=ns319.websitewelcome.com to show
what Netscraft believes is running on your website's server.
I know that HG does not always run the latest version of apps, so I would
check with them to see if it is running Apache 2, and if it is not, see what
the options are available for getting access to it. If you do not get any
response from their support (good luck!) - try writing a simple PHP file,
which contains this code:
Put this at the root of your webspace - if you run it in IE, it will tell
you what your website's server is running for sure, and give you more ammo
if you need to speak to HG about getting Apache 2.0...
Hope this helps - sorry if it is not good news!
Alex.
P.S. If you want space to try out a version, to prove that it is definitely
Apache 2.0 that is required, then let me know - I can arrange space if you
need it (my server runs Apache 2.0.54!)

The MySQL and PHP versions are fine but i cant check the Apache version,
however its says most LAMP setups with PHP 5 will work fine.
I have already tried removing the database and reinstalling however it comes
up with the same error.
