Principle.
I'm aware I subscribed to your white list, however I did so grudgingly.
This is a public email list and as such any automated responses, be it
out-of-office auto replies or verifications from challenge response
systems, should be classed as a nuisance.
Your system requires that we take extra action in order to send emails
to a public email forum - just so that *you *can read them. You're
making us do your dirty work in keeping you free of spam. If I was
emailing you directly then I'd probably be more inclined to subscribe
and validate myself however on a public forum its not what I expect to
see. We all know how irritating the 'thanks for our email...' type
responses can get. Personally I think any user who applies any sort of
scripted response to messages coming from the freelancers.net forum
should be banned - temporarily - until they turn whatever it is off.
