FN-FORUM: Harddrives and SQL questions

date posted 3rd April 2007 19:57

HI,

I have two separate questions but I though I would put them in the same
email to save writing two:

1. Does anyone know some good software for finding out how old a hard disk
is? I am sure that I saw one a couple of years back that was part of a suite
of programs for checking you system hardware status but I can't remember
that name.

2. Every now and again I have to export data from a SQL database for a
client. The problem is when it exports it saves it as a CSV file. When I
import the data into excel, it splits the fields incorrectly as the client
uses commas in there comments.
Does anyone know how to export the data directly into excel so I can avoid
this.

Kind Regards
Adam Tuffin
