There is a problem with email and webforms. They become spam targets. In
effect any email address you publish can be quite happily consigned to
the bin without careful spam management.
Look, it's your choice. I sat down with my builder client and asked him
if he would turn on the computer in the evenings and follow up emails.
He felt that that is not something he would do religously every night.
So I persuaded him not to have email on the site as it would give the
appearance of poor customer service. It doesn't actually work well. Most
of the time he's on site somewhere. Mobile is the correct way to contact
him, land line if you don't want an immediate response.
The deaf issue is a bit of a red herring and yes I would. This is not to
do with the how a deaf person would deal with the site. It's to do with
perceived customer service.
I even explain it away on the site. He does hardware and isn't very good
at the software thing. So feels that he does not want to put email on
the site as he rarely checks it. Email for a builder is mostly a gimmick.
Anyway it's your client. You deal with him as you wish.
