explain to her that it's a very bad idea.
html emails are notoriously difficult to create in a reliable reception
way - e.g. most of the time your email will be unreadable when it gets
to the user.
html emails are nearly always stripped of images, links and mangled by
most antivirus systems.
and a lot of people have html viewing turned off.
if you must do it use a third party system like campaign monitor. (they
also have a good how to tips section)
far far better to send an email with a link to a website page that
counts how many people visit it - at least then she'll know how many
people read and acted upon the email...
and make sure that her client base have all opted in to get mails from
her or she could get blacklisted for spamming.
