Tony gives good advice too.
(as always)
More advice ( more personal- sorry):
don't be a bloke about this:
ask your family and friends for help. and accept any that is offered.
(fish for a loan for the holiday!)
Meanwhile: With a 3 yr old, (as I remember), life is very full and
exhausting, can you get any relatives/freinds to give you (and your
partner) a break?
even 1 day's lie in is a bonus, especially if you can do it once a week.
If meditation is difficult to acheive, try taking long bubble baths*, or
going for an easy walk in the park, sit on benches alot.
I like sitting in the woods and watching the wildlife. but I am lucky to
live in the wilds of wiltshire.
Have you got a garden you could sit in? make a comfortable, peaceful
space for yourself if you can.
In terms of not being able to afford a holiday, do remember that
investment in your health is priceless. Your long term health is more
important than your immediate worries.
Don't struggle on. It will make you more ill.
get well soon
Carrie
* you would be in good company here Douglas Adams used to get his best
inspirations in the bath.
PS I really mean it about food, switch to organic wherever you can -
dairy in particular. Lots of friut and veg, if you want meat, eat it.
small meals often. Trust your instincts, I find I am often low on zinc
and crave seafood. Remember the old adage: a little of what you fancy
does you good.
Don't take vitamins, eat the food that you find them in.
PPS my next favorite way of avoiding meditation/but still stopping my
mind being too busy: is to read comedy/sience/crime fiction: harry
harrison, CJ Cherryh, Douglas adams, terry pratchet, falco novels,
whatever you fancy, garbage historical crime fiction from the library is
my standby, fiction can help. Go to bed/sofa with a book.
