No problem, glad to help in any way I can.
Reading your brother's business studies books can't hurt, but they
probably cover more ground than you need to know right now. I was
thinking more of a general "dummies guide" type book, covering a lot of
topics in few pages. Do a search on Amazon
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_/203-6408288-3591962?initialSea
rch=1&url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=start+business&Go.x=0&Go.y=0
&Go=Go) and take your pick or get down to your local bookshop and browse
the books.

You can get one grant for one business, it doesn't matter how many
services you provide. With the *Cultural* Business Venture Grant you
would want to state that you provide design services, as I believe it
primarily applies to businesses within the arts and design sector (ie.
Designers, artists, art galleries, web designers, photographers, etc.).
