FN-FORUM: Small ASP/.NET job, general outsourcing
date posted 19th October 2007 08:01
Hi all - a straightforward bit of ASP/.NET work for someone, plus a more
general outsourcing invite.
I'd like someone to handle the Fossil Gallery page for the EHT website =
on a
fixed price basis, to get one thing off my list at the moment. The rough
mock-up version is located at (also check out the funky Virtual Tour!):
http://eht.neogic.com/fossilGallery.asp
Outline/tech requirements are listed at the end of this e-mail. If you =
are
interested and can handle, please drop me a quick e-mail with a =
competitive
price (=A3300 tops). Include brief comments about your intended
approach/related experience if you wish. If goes well, there is likely =
to be
further work available in future.
GENERAL OUTSOURCING
Neogic usually has a pretty beefy workload (9 active projects at the =
moment,
inc. 4 schools), so we often outsource. In particular, A) site design
visuals, B) HTML/CSS implementation from visuals, and C) fixed-spec =
coding
jobs like this one.
If you'd be interested in handling one of these areas on a fixed project
price basis, feel free to drop me an e-mail directly with competitive =
rough
pricing *per job* (A/B) or best outsource rate (C). Preferably include =
brief
notes on your relevant experience and portfolio.
Thanks in advance, Ben

the
addition (optionally editing details first) or delete altogether. All =
admin
funcs to be protected with simple auth method, e.g., shared password.

=3D=3D Technical requirements =3D=3D
- ASP v3.0 (latest) or ASP.NET v1/2 (medium trust).
- Custom COM not available, but commercial COM components avail incl:
ASP Email/Encrypt/Grid/Image/Jpeg/PDF/Upload, GflAx, ImageSize
- Shared hosting environment (IIS6 on Win 2003).
- Data storage in JET v4.0 database (Access 2000+) or XML data files.
- Reasonably clean HTML + CSS, consistent with site appearance (files =
will
be supplied).
- target IE6+, FF1+, usable in other mainstream browsers.
- Above specs left deliberately open for flexibility, but recommended
approach is a simple bespoke app using [ASP+Jet+ASP Image/Upload], or
[ASP.NET+Jet].
- Avoid overblown, unnecessarily complex generic off-shelf solution; =
e.g.,
CMS just for its gallery module, or a full OSS image management system.
I look forward to hearing from you; Cheers, Ben
