I've been in this situation. Not with music, but a PDF copy of my first
book has been all over the internet since it was first released six
years ago.
The publisher asked all of their authors if they supported adding some
kind of DRM to their eBooks. Nothing changed so I assume that everyone
else voted no like me.
The simple fact is that DRM doesn't work. All it does is stop honest
users from doing things that they legitimately want to do. Sure, it
prevents all but the most determined user from making illegal copies of
your content. But it only takes _one_ determined user to do that and
your DRM becomes pointless.
I bet I could find non-DRMed copies of any DRM-protected content on the
internet within a day or so.
It doesn't work. I'ts a waste of time.
