FN-FORUM: Hosting .co.uk in another country

A client has just been told that hosting a .co.uk domain on a server =
located
outside the UK is bad news (by a reputable SEO company). Is this =
correct? I
find this really hard to believe. Surely if the top level domain is =
correct
the location of the server shouldn=92t matter.
