But of course Google filters based on IP as its very difficult to fake a
UK IP.
On the other hand anyone can get a .co.uk domain - and this is why its
worthless to uk only search engines.
Google knows this and this is why having a .co.uk domain WITHOUT a UK IP
makes if far less likely to get into uk-only results.
If all you have to do is get a .co.uk domain for £5 and get into uk only
searches it would be littered with rubbish from all over the world.
Common sense, if your audience is UK the content should be served from the
UK.
