FN-FORUM: WTF is SEO
date posted 22nd November 2007 13:29
ok, so I know it stands for Search Engine Optimisation, and it results in making your website appear higher in google (or any other search engine still clinging on to existence).
My question is this: If I want my website to be 'optimised' do I have to change what it says? I see many companies whose website's introductory text is crammed full of buzzwords but leaves me with no idea what they actually do. I'm intrigued to know if this is simply poor writing, or whether this is a direct result of the site being optimised so these words are picked up? I have an opinion on what is more important but I'd be interested in the facts as well.
