Try and claim as much as you can as the IR try and get as much as they
can from you. If you are renting you are allowed a percentage based
upon the number of rooms i.e. if you have 2 bedrooms and 1 lounge you
can therefore claim 33.33% as kitchens and bathrooms do not count. I
would also claim the same percentage for utility bills. The room you
are using for work is supposed to be solely for that purpose but
unless they come round and actually check how do they know.
