A lot less effort to get Thomas Higgins to do it for you. The official
solicitor letter also helps I think.
Don't forget you can also add interest plus a set amount dependent on
the outstanding invoice value. Details on the Thomas Higgins website.
Highly recommended. There were about 6 of us all owed money and they
coughed up immediately - that was for a very large sum of money in
total. I'm sure a small client won't even have their own legal advice
available and will pay up post haste. Send the interest as a separate
invoice which if not paid, you can again add a fixed cost plus interest :)
I do agree though, that if he is close enough and not too big, a visit
personally first is a good idea - or at least a final phone call letting
him know your next step.
