The IR35 is a nightmare but from what I know colin, if you work as
self-employed for a single client (or one who provides a large % of your
turnover) then it can be seen as tax evasion as the client should be
employing you on PAYE. I think this is worse if you used to be PAYE for
their company.
Now im no tax expert and far from it, but I looked into this when
working for a company years ago and was stopped because of IR35.=20
This article seems to explain it

Im sure there are ways around it, I just don't know them=20

Hi there,
How does the IR35 affect me? i'm just having a read of it on wiki and
can't work
it out.
going off what people have mentioned (and the area where i work, and
annual sal),
i'm thinking that 22/hr might not appear unreasonable? (area northwest /
prestonish)
