Agrees quite well with the advice from my local tax office on their
self-assessment course.

I was told you also couldn't include any water rates, but you can claim a
proportion of heating and lighting and council tax. Anyway, I probably
don't use much water in the course of my web development work :)
I've even been a good boy and reduced the capital claim for this computer
by a percentage for the time I spend using it for non-business purposes.
Probably added a few pence to my overall tax bill.
