I was helping a friend sell a laptop on eBay and he got a very similar =
email saying the funds wee in escrow. It's lucky he phoned me to ask if =
I had anything big enough to ship it in, otherwise he would have sent =
it!
For anyone who isn=E2=80=99t sure, Paypal don=E2=80=99t actually offer =
any form of escrow service.

Another PayPal Scam
I got an email from a bloke wanting to buy some stuff we had for sale on =
a
classifieds site. He wanted to pay by PayPal. His original email was =
suspect
as (not being racist or anything) he wrote in African.
It started, Solicitations my good friend... Bit like the Nigerian =
emails.
Anyway... I wrote back, and gave him the price and my PayPal account.
Next day a very convincing email arrives from PayPal saying the funds =
are
ready and in Escrow and will be released once shipping is confirmed via =
an
Airway bill. Bless him he even added =C2=A3100 so I could ship to an =
address in
Nigeria.=20
Needless to say we stopped at that point. The email was actually from a
gmail account but all the logins went to the real PayPal site and the =
email
was as far as I could see perfect. Again, if yo are not looking for this
kind of thing it is easy to fall prey to these people.
