FN-FORUM: A really weird problem with osCommerce and Secpay
date posted 30th January 2008 00:36
Hi all,
Anybody out there had experience of osCommerce and Secpay?
I have transferred a site from another host; this required rebuilding part
of it, using a default install of osCommerce and modifying files for it to
fit in with the branding. The problem I have is that over the last few days,
my client has told me that orders are appearing on email with missing
information - one he had did not have anything on it. He has passed me one
this evening which shows a missing billing address on the confirmation
email. I have set it so that customers have to register an account in order
to purchase; I have run tests to see if I can break it, but to no avail.
Anyone any ideas as to where I can look? The confirmation email that came
through with missing info throughout does not have anything in the database
for it. I know that Secpay have had problems last week with real-time
reporting - are they still ongoing? To all intents and purposes, it seems
the info is not getting back to osCommerce from Secpay, yet when I run tests
on the live system, everything works OK. I am beginning to wonder if speed
issues might be causing problems (the host is Eurovps - set up before I knew
about Servwise, Sam!) - if I cannot solve them, then I might have to
recommend a rebuild or second transfer (there is some really messy code in
place from the previous hosting company!).
Help...anyone??
Alex.
