I have 512 meg on my current mail server, I run spamassassin + Fuzzy OCR
plugin (for image spam), and amavis/clamav - seems to do a reasonably
good job, don't have any memory problems.
On the new server I'm currently building I'm considering installing:
http://www.maiamailguard.com/maia/wiki/AboutMaia
to allow my users control over the what's filtered etc.
