As someone who often does this i can tell you the solution is simple. Phone
Microsoft via the number windows gives you. They ask if youve done anything
recently to the PC. Tell them you installed a couple of new components and
they will give you a magic code that when entered suddenly makes your
windows work again.
If you were of the dodgy mentatlity you could do this to get a copied
version of windows to work on more than one pc. The reason being that
windows creates a code based on the major components in your system at the
time of install. Therefore if you change several items or one Major
component (eg Motherboard), the codes don't match. Thus they cant prove /
disprove you have replaced the motherboard and are inclined to give you the
code.
Please note i don't advocate this for illegal means!
