RE: FN-FORUM: Help converting DVD VOB file to DV
date posted 4th March 2008 11:18
Lots of DVD ripping software available for this sort of thing. Do a =
google, and youll find loads of software, most of which offer 30 day =
trials (long enough to do the job). They all seem to be pretty much the =
same in terms of capabilities and usability.
You will of course then need some editing software to chop out the bit =
of DV you need from the ripped DVd file. If you look hard enough =
however, you will find the odd piece of software that will let you =
choose the start and end point of the dvd rip, and thus doing it all in =
one go for you.
Sorry i don=E2=80=99t have any recommendations as ive not used them for =
a while.

Subject: FN-FORUM: Help converting DVD VOB file to DV
Hi=20
A client needs to extract a clip from one of their corporate DVDs to =
play in
a powerpoint pres. Does anyone know of a utility that will convert the =
VOB
file to a digital video format, ideally DV so we can do a bit of =
editing.
But other formats OK.
