FN-FORUM: Open source PHP CRM recommendations

Subject says it all really, I have a client that want a CRM bolting on to an
existing system, they are considering full custom build but also wanted to
look at what already exists that could potentially be adapted to their needs
at lower cost than a fresh build. Does anyone have any experience, ideally
of customising, but if not then just of using such a beast? Failing that
just any "buzz" on what is good in this area would help.
