You should think of it as the Digg, furl or whatever's, users who link to
your site rather than the sites themselves.
Your site makes the news and then your visitors post the links on the
networking sites.
If you place bookmarking links on your sites - it just makes it easier for
your visitors to create the links.
We use addthis dot com links on our sites - this links to a page listing all
major bookmarking sites, rather than directly to the sites themselves.
