Re: FN-FORUM: Oscommerce / STS - where is the download ??

Well someone on this forum recommended it for a relatively easy way to
customise your template layout a couple of weeks back...
I don=B9t know where to start but my position is this:
I have been designing and updating a website for a company for several
years, the last update they were really happy with - no database, no
ecommerce, just nice looking layout.
Now they are looking at the logistics of adding ecommerce ability to it, I
thought I will use a system like oscommerce or zencart or similar, so that
they can manage their products at their end, but I need to be able to
customise the template and ideally use the layout that I have now
Can anyone recommend a system where I can design my pages using CSS and HTM=
L
and then use this layout (within reason of course)
How about Joomla/Virtuemart
It's all very well saying hire a pro, but for what kind of money, because I
obviously want to earn out of it and if it is going to cost me 1500.00 for =
a
weeks work then I wont ... And I would obviously like to learn a system to
use in case anything similar crops up in the future
So any recommendations ?
Thanks in advance
John
