It's not IR35, that doesn't apply to sole traders - it's s-something
that says that agencies might be liable for the sole trader's PAYE if it
turns out she should have been an employee. Agencies don't...

Is very true, but IR35 intends that you do not try to avoid paying tax
by setting up as an Ltd when you are effectively in sole employment,
which was, I guess, the "problem" the revenue were trying...

The other thing is that there are certain things that you can claim for
with a LTD that you can't as a sole trader.
