Kirsty Herrington

Copywriter, Sub-editor, Proofreader, Copy Editor

With a degree in Journalism and experience of working both in the publishing and travel industries, I have excellent writing skills, the ability to write for different audiences, acute attention to detail, and a love of red pens for when I'm editing text.

In addition to my job as a Bids Manager, I am currently a freelance sub-editor and proofreader, and to date my projects have included editing magazines for a publishing company, proofreading websites, writing a variety of texts for a Cape Town-based charity and editing copy for a bereavement charity. I am very well organised, enthusiastic, able to meet strict deadlines and balance workloads.

Written testimonial:
I have collaborated with Kirsty in her many roles of writer, editor and proofreader across a variety of projects, and have found her extremely capable and enthusiastic with an innate attention to detail. She always meets the deadline, providing consistent and relevant work. Her attitude makes her a welcome and valuable addition to any team, and I would not hesitate in recommending her.

After taking part in a fundraising event for Cape Town-based charity SAYes, I was tasked with writing a blog piece about the race to inform supporters and also encourage future donations.
